Market Analysis
Equipped with first hand detailed knowledge of the local industries and markets, we conduct an extensive market research for our client's product or service. We will examine in-country and regional demand and consumption rates and patterns. In the case of first time products in the targeted jurisdiction(s), we shall conduct a carefully constructed, thorough and bespoke assessment program that shall provide results with at least a 70th percentile confidence for or against market entry.
In either case, the research may be extended to include a product trial in carefully selected sample populations to attain 90% plus confidence. Due consideration and analysis of existing organizations in the market is included in our research that utilizes current data and information from verifiable sources.
The deliverable is a comprehensive market intelligence report that informs our client's 'what they NEED to know in order to make an informed investment decision and not what we would WANT them to hear'. There is also an option for a quick turnaround desktop study report that is based on factual data that provides an indication whether to move onto full market analysis or not.

Feasibility Studies
Afrilink carries out due deligence on behalf of clients and project studies specific to the targeted jurisdiction. No doubt there are differences in exchange rates, labour rates, raw material and equipment availabilities, etc... between these jurisdictions and client countries. This implies that the most suitable product concept or service provision structure of the client, along with the investment capital and the operational capital requirements, may not be apparent to the client.
We conduct the following project studies to provide the practicality (economically and technically) of a project once the client has established an appetite to pursue an investment:

During or before any study, Afrilink can facilitate a visit to Botswana for the client. This would include visits to several possible project locations, visits to relevant government ministries or institutions for 'meet and greets' with key business stakeholders and a general tour of social amenities around the project location city. It is recommended that this visit be at least 1 business week long and there is an option to include a week of exploring the tourist hubs to appreciate holistically what Botswana offers.

Pre-Implementation Off-take Sourcing
Under certain terms and conditions this is a service that we offer that differentiates us from any would be competitors. Using our extensive individual and corporate networks in investment host jurisdictions, we believe we are able to secure conditional off take agreements for our clients. We negotiate for conditions that provide long term supply security for our client's potential customer, while fulfilling pre-established requirements with our client such that they can provide within the confines of their business plan.
In the case of Afrilink approaching a potential client presenting an investment opportunity to them, an off take agreement would almost be certain and would be included as part of the investment opportunity offering.

In-country Project Implementation
Afrilink has personnel highly experienced in greenfield and brownfield project implementation. Full project implementation services covering, Engineering detailed design, procurement & contracts, construction/fit out, quality control management and commissioning are provided within Botswana. Our clients may opt to be actively involved on a daily basis or may choose a turnkey type of approach with regular periodic reporting.
As part of our process, at this stage, Afrilink would have carried out a site visit to the client's existing operation and thus project implementation would be sensitive to the client's operational requirements whilst bearing in mind the Botswana context.

JV Partnership Matching
There are many small operational companies that are looking at expanding their operations and are seeking technical and/or commercial partners in various industries in Botswana. Afrilink has a portfolio of profiles of these companies and can identify and facilitate a suitable joint venture formation with interested clients.
